Dear Legal Services Commission,
For the benefit of academic research in medico-crime, I am trying
to find out whether any of the former patients of Dr. Benjamin
Deodhar have applied for funding in civil claims relating to this
doctor sexually assaulting patients.
Can you please tell me if anyone has applied to the LSC for funding
for a civil claim against this doctor and/or: Lincolnshire Primary
Care Trust; or Lincolnshire Health Authority in relation to this
doctor?
It would be helpful if you could state how many claimants there
are/were.
The fact that Dr. Deodhar was convicted of assaulting his patients
has been reported in the media and so is already in the public
domain. I do not require any identifying details of any
individuals.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
Wendy Hesketh
