"Compendium of information" on climate camp

A Freedom of Information request to Kent Police by David Hansen

Kent Police did not have the information requested.

David Hansen

25 November 2008

Dear Sir or Madam,

In
http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/th...
Kent Police stated:

"We recognise and respect the considerable public interest in our
policing of the camp for climate change and we will shortly be
publishing on our website a compendium of information including
material relating to strategic and tactical considerations and
decision-making, costs, numbers of arrests and articles confiscated
during the operation."

You web site does not appear to have a link to this "compendium of
information" and a search on "climate camp" does not reveal
anything.

Given the umpteen lies and illegal actions by Kent Police in
relation to the fine upstanding people who went to the climate
camp, despite repeated attempts to intimidate them out of going by
Kent Police, the apparent lack of this "compendium of information"
may be seen as a small matter. However, it does show the level of
contempt Kent Police holds for doing what it says it will do.

If the "compendium of information" does exist please provide the
URL and please indicate the route by which a visitor may find it
from the home page.

I am aware of
http://www.kent.police.uk/Your%20Area/Me...
but that propaganda page is certainly not a "compendium of
information". It does not provide the information detailed by Kent
Police and which I quoted above.

Please note that "replies" which involve attachments in proprietary
file formats are not acceptable. A reply which is not in plain text
format will be deemed to be a refusal to answer.

Yours faithfully,

David Hansen

Dear Mr Amos,

Thank you for your reply. I will try and remember to ask again in
2009 if there is no obvious link.

I note that the fine upstanding people co-ordinating the camp have
already put up a list of the items stolen by Kent Police. This list
includes such "subversive items" as "chalk", "eon foff badge" and
"model power station".
http://climatecamp.org.uk/drupal-5.7/the...
I bet Kent Police are proud of these thefts, but it does
demonstrate beyond any doubt at all that the criminals at the camp
had the letters POLICE written on their clothing and the only
criminal conspiracy was being masterminded by Kent Police.

Yours sincerely,

David Hansen
