Dear Northamptonshire Police,

Would you please provide me with the following information:

How many 'Accredited Persons' have been granted powers under the
Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) by the Chief Constable
of your police force?

Please provide details of which powers these people have been
granted.

Please provide details of the organisation employing any
'Accredited Persons'.

Please provide details of the training undergone by these persons
in order to satisfy the requirements of the CSAS in line with
section 40 of the Police Reform Act 2002, relative to each power
granted.

Please provide details of how regularly these persons are checked.
I.e. training up to date and what checks are made.

Please proved contact details of the Officer(s)/Person(s) dealing
with such CSAS in your force.

Please provide details of the criteria requirements for CSAS scheme
in your force.

With reference to your e-mail received 07/12/2010 requesting information
relating to number of Accredited Persons in Force and details of training
and contact details:

1) How many 'Accredited Persons' have been granted powers under the
Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) by the Chief Constable of
your police force?

2) Please provide details of which powers these people have been granted.

3) Please provide details of the organisation employing any 'Accredited
Persons'.

4) Please provide details of the training undergone by these persons in
order to satisfy the requirements of the CSAS in line with section 40 of
the Police Reform Act 2002, relative to each power granted.

I can confirm that Northamptonshire Police holds the information requested
as follows:

1) 31

Northampton Borough Council 9
Wellingborough Council 7
VOSA 7
4) These are conducted by external trainers.
5) APs are checked one year from accreditation, which involves the same
process as the application stage, including vetting and security checks.
From here APs are checked every three years.
