I am writing to you further to my colleague’s email of 18 March acknowledging the Freedom of Information request. Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to your request.

In answer to your request, no member of staff in the Office for Judicial Complaints (OJC) is a ‘common purpose graduate’ as defined by you. I can also confirm that the OJC has not spent any money on common purpose courses for staff in the years 1997-2009.

As part of our obligations under the FOIA, the Ministry of Justice has an independent review process. If you are dissatisfied with this decision, you may write to request an internal review. The internal review will be carried out by someone who did not make the original decision, and they will re-assess how the Department handled the original request.
