who are Common Purpose 'graduates'.

2. the total expenditure by your organisation on Common Purpose
courses for each of the years 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002,
2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 to date together with a
copy of the invoice for each Common Purpose course paid for by your
organisation.

from you:

organisation.

Your request for information has been considered under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. I can confirm that Hertfordshire County Council
does hold the information you have requested and can respond as follows:

1. To the best of our knowledge there is one employee within
Hertfordshire County Council who fits your description of a Common Purpose
`graduate'. The employee in question is a Project Manager in the
Council's Adult Care Services department. With regards to the disclosure
of the employee's name and grade, after consideration the County Council
has decided that this information should be withheld under the exemption
contained in Section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000,
relating to third party personal data. The disclosure of this information
would contravene the first Data Protection principle as the individual has
not provided their consent for the information to be disclosed.
2. The Council has made one payment totalling *329.00 to Common Purpose
UK. This refers to an invoice dated 01/01/2005. I attach a copy of the
invoice with the attendee's personal details redacted.

Please note, we do not hold invoices for more than seven years and
therefore can only respond with regard to the financial year 2003/4 to
date.
