V. Bennett made this Freedom of Information request to Kent Police
The request was refused by Kent Police.
From: V. Bennett
20 May 2009
Dear Sir or Madam,
Please provide the following information:
Charity "Common Purpose"; meaning the training organisation of that
name:http://www.commonpurpose.org/home.aspx
On a yearly basis from 2000 onwards , unless of course money was
paid to Common Purpose from an earlier period, in which case please
include information from the earlier period.
1. Name all employees who have attended a Common Purpose course?
2. How much money has been paid to this organisation?
3. Please provide copies of invoices/receipts.
Yours faithfully,
V. Jones

Sir or Madam,
I note this 'request' is identical to one previously refused as not being
made in the form required by the Freedom Of Information Act 2000 - ie
providing the name of the requester. In that case a pseudonym calculated
to be offensive was used. In this case two names are being used. It is
clear the 'request' is from the same person who also uses two other
pseudonymous identities, V. Bennett and V. Jones, and has mistakenly used
them both in the same message. Again the 'request' is not valid in the
terms of the Act.
Please provide your correct name and provide proof. I will copy this to
the WhatDoTheyKnow moderator's email address. I am, as you know, familiar
with the law and the Information Commissioner's advice.
Regards,
md

Dear Mr Doherty
Amended as requested.
Please provide details of the extent of Kent Police's involvement
with the educational charity Common Purpose.
PLease advise the following:
1. The amount of money spent on Common Purpose training courses in
all financial years from 2000 onwards.
2. The names of personnel who attended those courses.
I am, as you aware, also conversant with the FOI Act. This does not
constitute a vexatious request, and you have my real name.
This information is in the public interest, when our council tax
bills increase exponentially to pay for the Police Force, and we
find that money is being wasted on "charities".
With kind regards
V. Bennett
