Dear Dr Tai

I am writing in response to your recent requests for information under the
Freedom of Information Act. In your request dated 21 August 2008, you
requested the ‘current schedule of collection’ for postbox OX1 597 in
Little Clarendon Street, OX1 2HU. You also requested a list of the other
postboxes which are collected from on the same route, and the approximate
time of collections during the week.

This box receives the following collections:
Monday to Friday: 12:15, 15:00, 17:00, 18:30
Saturday: 12:00
No collection on Sundays or Bank Holidays

I am unable to provide further information regarding the collection route
and other Postboxes on that route. Our Risk Management experts and
Security Department have confirmed to us that releasing this information
would prejudice security and therefore put the health &safety of our
employees making collections at risk. This information could be utilised
by criminals to target the mail collected on this route. Therefore this
information is considered to exempt from disclosure under sections 31 (Law
Enforcement) and 38 (Health & Safety). We believe that there is strong
public interest in protecting the health & safety of any individual. It is
also not in the public interest to risk any prejudice to security
arrangements and place the integrity of the mail at risk.

In your requested dated 05 September 2008, you requested ‘the current mail
delivery schedule for the OX1 2JG postcode, including a list of other
postcodes on the same route.

The deliveries are schedules to take place between 09:00 and 14:00 daily
Monday – Saturday. These times can fluctuate given the volume of mail on
any given day.

The postcodes covered by this delivery route are:
OX1 2JG, OX2 6BD, OX1 2JN, OX2 6BE, OX1 2JJ, OX2 6AZ, OX1 2JL, OX2 6AY, OX1
