Dear Sir or Madam,
Please identify since 1974
(1) the basic pay of a local commissioner for each year;
(2) the additional payment made to the Chair of the Commission for
Local Administration for each year following their designation by
the Secretary of State, as a result of this designation;
(3) the additional payment made to the Vice Chair of the Commission
for Local Administration for each year following their designation
by the Secretary of State, as a result of this designation
Please further provide all documents from the Secretary of State
identifying the additional payment that should be made to the Chair
and Vice Chair of the CLAE.
Finally please provide details of any additional benefits for each
year paid to a Local Commissioner (eg enhanced pension
arrangements).. and the authority for providing these benefits.

I am writing to request an internal review of Local Government
Ombudsmen's handling of my FOI request 'CLAE payments'.
The request is well overdue and the CLAE identified that they would
respond.
