The request was successful.

Dear Sirs,
Re: Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions in Nottinghamshire
I understand that before applying for powers of civil enforcement
of parking contraventions under the Traffic Management Act 2004,
authorities must confirm in writing to the Secretary of State that
they have ensured that traffic signs and road markings are
consistent with the TSRGD.
Under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act, I request that
you provide a copy of the declaration so made by Nottinghamshire
County Council.
Yours faithfully,
Stephen Key

Dear Mr Key,
Thank you for your e-mail of 25^th February 2009, requesting a copy (under
the Freedom of Information Act) of the declaration made by Nottinghamshire
County Council, before applying for civil enforcement powers, that they
have ensured that traffic signs and road markings are consistent with the
TSRGD.
I should explain that in order to process your FOI request, and to be able
to send you a paper copy of the documentation you require (we may not hold
an electronic copy), I would be grateful if you could please provide me
with your full postal address.
Yours sincerely,

Thank you for your e-mail of 25 February requesting my postal
address.
I shall send my address to you in a separate e-mail message,
however I make the following comments:
(1) A postal address is not required for a request under the FOI
Act. The Ministry of Justice and Information Commissioner confirm
that an e-mail address is a sufficient address for correspondence.
(2) My preference would be to be supplied with an electronic copy
of the document(s). If no electronic copy currently exists, I am
sure it would be quicker and cheaper to scan the document(s) than
to photocopy and post them.
Yours faithfully
S Key
