What was the total expenditure of the Council on leisure and
recreation in 2007/08?

Total expenditure on leisure and recreation in 2007/08 as follows:

Libraries £2,731,850 Leisure £3,208,460 Arts £1,733,770 Parks and
open spaces £3,826,280 Total £11,510,360

What was the total expenditure on children's play services and
facilities in the same year for those aged under 16 years? What
amount of this came from either Big Lottery and/or Central
Government funding?

This was core revenue local authority funding. There was also some
financial phasing of 1 Big Lottery scheme and some Sport England
and Neighbourhood Renewal funding.

What was the estimated population of the authority area in the same
