Dear Sir or Madam,

In light of Christine Gilbert’s comments today in the following
article, I would like to know if OFSTED has any data or information
relating to Councils carrying out internal protection reviews,
especially in light of the Baby P case and subsequent review
requested by Lord Laming. What mandatory produces are in place that
insure an accurate and truly independent review is carried out by
the Councils.

Thank you for email requesting information on:

`Whether Ofsted has any data or information relating to Councils carrying
out internal protection reviews, especially in light of the Baby P case
and subsequent review requested by Lord Laming. What mandatory procedures
are in place that insure an accurate and truly independent review is
carried out by the Councils'.

Regrettably we are unable to provide an answer to your data request today
as we had hoped to. We apologise for this oversight and we hope to
provide a response to your query as soon as we possibly can.

However we would like to seek clarification on your request as we are
unsure whether you are referring specifically to serious case reviews or
another type of review councils may undertake. I would be grateful if you
could clarify or elaborate further so that we can respond as fully as we
possibly can to your request for information.
