"See attachment - The Chief executive's annual salary is -L-170,000 per
annum. Any charges for Returning Officer duties are not part of the Chief
executive's "wages" as such. They are payments made to the Returning or
Acting Returning Officer under an order made by the Secretary of State and
they vary from election to election. The Parliamentary Elections
(Returning Officer Charges) Order 2010 has not yet been made."
