Dear Mr Clark
In response to your recent request, I am able to advise that the total
number of people receiving chemotherapy in 2008 was 1080. 925 of these
were daycases, 155 were inpatients.
These figures relate to the number of attendances for chemotherapy and
therefore may include multiple attendances by the same patient.
If you are unhappy with the way we have handled your FOI request and wish
to make a complaint or request a review of our decision, you should write
to: Mr G Moulds, Director of Corporate Affairs, Royal Cornwall Hospital
NHS Trust, Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro, TR1 3LJ.
If you are not content with the outcome of your complaint, you may apply
directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. Generally the ICO
cannot make a decision unless you have exhausted the complaints procedure
provide by the Trust. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at:
The Information Commissioner’s Officer, Wycliffe House, Water Lane,
Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.
Yours sincerely
