Dear Liverpool City Council,
Health & Social Care have issued letters to all disable people (LD)
informing them that they will have to pay £3 a day or £10 a week
for using in-house transport.
1. How is LCC going to collect this money
2. Why is it blanket charging without being assessed
3. Have you done an impact assessment - if so please produce the
document - and if not why not - this is a legal requirement.
4 What will the administration cost to collect and process this
charging.
Yours faithfully,
Audrey O'Keefe

Dear Symm, Kevin,
I wish to challenge the response Liverpool City Council have sent
me re charging for transport on the following
2. The information given in this paragraph is incorrect. This
charging is not assessable under the community care act - there is
no criteria - there for an assessment of benefits cannot be made
and this is an illegal charge - do LCC agree with this and if not
full explanation as to why not and evidence as to what documents
you are working from.
3 The impact assessment you sent me was dated June 2008 and not
relevant to the transport charging - the officers listed at the
foot of the document have left LCC employment. Can you please
produce the last impact assessment that you submitted to the EHRC.
(Equality and Human Rights Commission)re the transport charging.
Yours sincerely,
Audrey O'Keefe
