I can confirm that we have received your request for information about the
salary of the Chief Fire Officer of West Midlands Fire Service. Your
request was received on 16^th November 2010 and I am dealing with it under

I am writing to confirm that West Midlands Fire Service has now completed
its search for the information you requested about the salary of the Chief
Fire Officer

of West Midlands Fire Service.

I am pleased to provide details of the information you have requested.
There will be no charge for this set of information. Please see
information below.

Question:

The Chief Fire Officer's basic salary in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Also his bonus's in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Response:

The basic annual salary paid to the Chief Fire Officer is as follows;

£150,552 from 1^st January 2008 to 31^st December 2008 (+ provided car)

£152,058 form 1^st January 2009 to 16^th March 2009 (+ provided car)

£161,600 from 17^th March 2009 to 31^st December 2010 (Permanent
appointment to CFO. From this date no car provided)

He has not been paid any bonuses.

Please note the information above reflects two post-holders, pre March
17^th 2009 and post March 17^th 2009.
