CEO scooter accidents

Tim Kaufman made this Freedom of Information request to Westminster City Council

The request was successful.

From: Tim Kaufman

9 September 2009

Dear Sir or Madam,

Please provide the annual numbers of accidents since march 2007
involving the scooters ultimately operated by Westminster City
Council. These are used for CEO's to issue PCN's at a faster rate
than if they were on foot and number between 15 and 11 scooters
depending on who is answering the question at the Council.

You have probably outsourced this operation to NSL Services, but as
yet Peter Large has been unable to provide proof of a valid
contract with that company, so for now we can only guess it is with
that company.

Yours faithfully,

Tim Kaufman

Norris left an annotation (31 May 2010)

It's nice to see that the NSL scooter riders are getting better at riding their scooters and having less accidents, but I guess that means more parking tickets for the rest of us.

I find it strange that Westminster Council refer to NSL as NCP (National Car Parks Ltd), don't they know what's going on with their parking enforcement contract?
