Dear Ms Hughes
Thank you for your recent request under the Freedom of Information Act.
Your request asks for personal data of the individual members of staff of the Centre for Journalism and is therefore exempt under section 40 of the Data Protection Act. I have, however, attached two documents which are publicly available on the Human Resources page of the University of Kent website. These
are:
1. The 52 point Single Pay Spine and the position of the various grades within it. For your information, Lecturers' salaries fall within Grades 7 and 8. Senior Lecturers' and Readers' salaries fall within Grade 9.
2. The Professorial and Senior Management Pay Spine.
If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your request and wish to make a complaint or request a review, you should write to The Data Protection / Freedom of Information Team, Student Records Office, Registry, University of Kent, Canterbury, Kent, CT2 7NZ.
Yours sincerely
Alison Priest
