Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like to know how many times over the last 12 months local
residents have been charged the £27.00 additional inscription fee
(usually charged for adding a name to the stone and collected on
behalf of the council by the stonemason) when replacing an old
stone with a new one, when they have not added another name to the
stone but may have added extra wording such as "grandad or much
loved". that did not feature on the original stone.
this information should be available via the permits isued by the
cemetery to local stonemasons.
Yours faithfully,
D A Carter
