Dear Health and Safety Executive,
I note in your very kind answer to me previously that you state you
have no remit to investigate the ceiling collapse at the toxic
waste dump school.
I wonder whether you would like to re-consider this decision? I
don't really understand the difference between the Vale View School
ceiling collapse and the Minster College ceiling collapse. Could
you please explain why one had to be investigated and one didn't?
There must be some written criteria which you use.
As I am sure you will understand, we cannot be too careful when the
lives of 550 primary school children and 78 babies are involved and
as local people commented repeatedly at the time but were ignored,
the school was built in an extraordinairily short time, so there is
the danger that other mistakes have been made.
With very warmest best wishes for the New Year.
Yours faithfully,
Sheila Oliver

Sheila
Thanks for your email of 1 January 2012.
The collapse at Minster College was investigated because pupils were
injured in the incident. As you are no doubt aware, no one was
injured in the Vale View incident.
