CCTV of Charterhouse Street at 8:30 - 8:35 on Friday 13th March 2009

James Harrison made this Freedom of Information request to Transport for London

Transport for London did not have the information requested.

From: James Harrison

6 July 2009

Dear Sir or Madam,

I write to confirm that I was involved in a road traffic accident
which occurred on or about 8.35am on 13th March 2009, as I was
cycling along Charterhouse Street, EC1M, London.

A moped rider pulled out in front of me, causing me to brake and go
over the handlebars. In doing so, I sustained some injuries and
damaged some personal property.

After 3 months of investigations by the insured' insurance company,
the insured has now denied liability. I would therefore like this
footage to prove liability.

Yours faithfully,

James Harrison

Dear Mr Harrison

Re: Freedom of Information Request

Thank you for your email received by Transport for London (TfL) on 6
July. You have asked for information about the CCTV footage from
Charterhouse Street.

Unfortunately, TfL does not hold the information you have requested. This
location is not on the Transport for London Road Network (TLRN) and
therefore TfL Road Network Compliance has no use of any cameras here.

Three local authorities have adjoining borders at Charterhouse Street; the
London Boroughs of City of London, Islington and Camden. One of these will
be responsible for traffic enforcement on Charterhouse Street and may have
use of the CCTV cameras there.

I am sorry that we are not able to assist you on this occasion, but if you
have any further queries with which we can be of assistance, please
contact Gilmore Barrett, Correspondence Support Manager - London Streets
at [1][email address].

If you are not satisfied with this response, please read the attached
help-sheet entitled ‘Your Right to Appeal’

Yours sincerely
