Dear Michael Warby,
Private CCTV on private home, I was just wondering if Camden has
any other policy than that of the Human Rights Act, Data Protection
Act and RIPA 2000 do not apply to domestic CCTV, and based on the
established legal principle that in relation to the use of CCTV,
there is no legitimate expectation of privacy in a public place.
Data Protection Act (DPA) does not apply to domestic CCTV and
neither does the Human Rights Act (HRA).
I do know that Information Commissioner's Office CCTV Code of
practice revised 2008 covers domestic CCTV.
But does Camden Council have its own policy of rules for domestic
CCTV.
Yours sincerely,
william
