days.

Watching Them, Watching Us left an annotation ( 9 August 2010)

So when you write in to ask for CCTV images of yourself, through a Data Protection Act 1998 Subject Data Access Request, the Council has 42 days to reply.

They will then ask you to identify yourself and charge you the statutory maximum of £10 (probably getting your financial details in the process).

They can then say "sorry" your CCTV image data was overwritten at least 11 days ago ! (no £10 refund)
