Thank you for your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (`the
Act') for the following information:
How many meetings has the BTP Chief Constable Andrew Trotter had with
representatives of News International since he became Chief Constable to
date?
Out of these meetings, how many were lunch / dinner 'freebies' paid for by
News International?
Under section 1 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I can confirm
British Transport Police does not hold this information regarding your
request. This is because Chief Constable Trotter has had no meetings with
representatives of News International since becoming Chief Constable of
British Transport Police. Additionally, in Mr Trotter's role as Chair of
the Association of Chief Police Officers Communications Advisory Group he
may have met representatives of News International at larger meetings
which are attended by a number media representatives, such as Crime
Reporters Association briefings. Chief Constable Trotter has received no
gift or hospitality from News International.
Should you have any queries or are unhappy with the decisions made in
relation to your request you have the right to request an internal
