Dear FOI,

Thank you for your response to my recent FOI request. It contains answers to a number of my questions and will be very useful in our attempts to gain a better understanding of the community profile of the electoral ward.

At this stage, I would like to ask a few supplementary questions for clarification.

1. Lower Super Output Areas – You state ‘The Council does not hold information by Lower Super Output Area.’ This appears to me to be a surprisingly broad statement. Are you able to expand on this? Do you consider that no part of the council makes use of the LSOA concept in any of its analyses? If not, what areas of interest are considered by the council at LSOA level?

2. Parish of Cathays – When giving property totals, you introduce the concept of the ‘parish’. Why do you consider this to be useful and how does it differ from the electoral ward?

3. Halls of residence – How are these dealt with in the totals given?

4. Estimate of the total number of residents - You have not provided any response to Q1

5. Maximum number of licensed resident bed spaces in HMOs? - You have given no response to Q5.

I thank you in advance for any response, advice or assistance you are able to provide.

Yours sincerely,

Paul Byers
