The request was successful.

From: brian ovens

18 October 2010

Dear Forth Valley NHS Board,

Can you give me a total of all the deaths caused by taking
Cannabis/hemp in Clackmannanshire/Falkirk and Stirling please? Or
any other areas you may have.

How many people have been hospitalised/sectioned for Paranoia from
the use of Cannabis in Clackmannanshire/Falkirk and Stirling?

How do you come to the conclusion that Cannabis is the cause of
Paranoia?

Im looking for a total from the last 5 years please.

Dear freedomofinformation (NHS Forth Valley),

Thank you very much for your reply. Can you clear a couple of
things up?

1. You don't have the answer two question 1, do you know where I
could get the answer to this question?

2. Are you telling me no one has been hospitalised for the use of
cannabis in the area's I have asked about? I wasn't just talking
about detention.

3. In response to question 3, Are you also telling me that cannabis
does not cause the start of paranoia?

I have been listening/watching to programmes like the Jeremy Kyle
show and they keep saying that people need to stop taking cannabis
because it "makes you paranoid". I believe that this is
disinformation going by your response?

Yours sincerely,

brian ovens

Dear freedomofinformation (NHS Forth Valley),
The question I have asked (question 2) is in relation to my
original request for question two, which was........

How many people have been hospitalised/sectioned for Paranoia from
the use of Cannabis in Clackmannanshire/Falkirk and Stirling?

As you can see you did not fully answer this, therefor I feel it
still needs answered and is not a new request.

Basically, how many people have been Hospitilized due to taking
cannabis/hemp?

Yours sincerely,

brian ovens

Dear Mr Ovens

Thank you for your email.

I am aware that the question you have asked is in relation to your original request, however we consider that 'people hospitalised for paranoia from the use of cannabis' is an entirely different question from 'how many people have been hospitalised due to taking cannabis/hemp'.

Please advise how you wish to progress.

Yours sincerely

Hilary Chalmers
