CAMHS Referral Process

Dear 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Foundation Trust,

This question relates to the referral process ie when a relevant
professional (for example GP, Nurse, Social Worker) makes a
referral to CAMHS for assessment or treatment of a child/young
person.

1. How many referral requests from professionals were received in
2009?

2. How many of these children were seen by a qualified clinical
psychologist, psychiatrist or paediatrician before a decision was
made to accept or reject the referral request?

3. For those referrals which were rejected without the child being
seen by a qualified clinical psychologist, psychiatrist or
paediatrician, what was the qualification of the member of staff
who rejected the referral request?

4. How many referral requests were accepted in 2009?
