Dear Leanne

Here are the stats and info you asked about:

Between 1 January and 1 November 2011 there have been 10 incidents in the
St Margaret’s area. The fire engine from St Margaret’s attended 8 of
those, which were:

o        5 false alarms

o        1 shrub on fire by a roadside

o        Assisting with a forced entry to a property (not involving fire)

o        Attendance at the rock fall last New Year’s Day (St Margaret’s
engine were there in support of another team from Deal and the Urban
Search and Rescue Team), no rescue as no people involved

The other 2 were false alarms and were attended by other local stations as
shown below:

·         05/10/2011

o    False Alarm, both Dover’s fire engines sent, the full-time one was
mobilised at 10:08:28, booked attendance 10:14:20 so took approx 6
minutes.

·         11/10/2011

o    False Alarm, Dover’s part-time fire engine was sent, mobilised at
16:11:07 booked attendance 16:24:30 so took approx 13 ½ mins [as a
part-time fire engine, there is around five minutes taken for the crew to
arrive at the station to collect the fire engine]

St Margaret’s has been sent on standby 37 times between 1 January 2011 and
1 November 2011. Standby is where an incident has happened somewhere and
the fire engine is sent to a station in case another one happens. They
have been to the following stations the number of times shown below:

Folkestone 13

Dover 10

Deal 5

New Romney 4

Ramsgate 3

Hythe 2

There have also been 4 ‘cluster cover’ moves, 3 to Folkestone and 1 to New
Romney. Cluster cover moves are where we proactively cover a station to
maintain emergency cover, in the event of a fire engine being unavailable,
eg due to training.

I hope this answers your questions, but please do come back to me if you
require anything else

Best regards

Hi Leanne

Just to be clear, what you are asking for is the number of times the fire engine based at St Margaret's been used at an incident, other than on St Margaret's ground [which you have the info for below]? If this is what you are after, I can provide this to you very quickly tomorrow. If it's something else, let me know

Thanks
