If you have a legal query then you may wish to consider seeking specialist
advice. Unfortunately Cafcass is unable to advise members of the public on
legal issues and an advice centre such as the Citizen's Advice Bureau
[insert link

be able to help. Community Legal Advice [insert link

advice. You may also wish to consider instructing a solicitor, who will be
able to advise you on what steps you could now take.

We have several leaflets about arranging positive contact between children
and their families which can be ordered free of charge from TSO bookstore

Dear Jassal, Jasvinder - Cafcass,

Again you have provided your standard response:

"Cafcass does not collect this information centrally."

It seems to me that you seek to avoid giving any information
regarding CAFCASS at all, claiming that you do not hold a central
record storing the information.

Perhaps CAFCASS needs to start storing information so that the
public are able to seek information as CAFCASS is a Public Body,
funded by the Public and therefore accountable to the Public.

Please consider placing all your information in a central record
and in the meantime make reasonable endeavours to fulfil your legal
obligation to provide the information requested.

Removing children from Families is a VERY SERIOUS matter especially
as Anthony Douglas seems to have an interest in every aspect of the
'removing children from families process'.

Considering the scandal when it was exposed that CAFCASS were
placing their Corporate interests above their Public duties and not
accounting for the budget provided to them to the extent that the
entire board required dismissing in 2003, it seems that it is even
more important now that the actions and inactions of CAFCASS are
carefully recorded and easily accountable.

There has been a great deal of negative press regarding children
being removed from fit parents or of children being prevented from
seeing either parent. CAFCASS has also been described as 'Unfit for
Purpose'.

So that the Public are not of the opinion that CAFCASS are
operating a Secretive Child Trafficking Organisation, it is
essential that information is made public.

I look forward to receiving a response to my various requests
without further excuse.

Yours sincerely,

LS Palmer

Dear LS palmer

I received an e-mail from you on 19th January 2011, in which you were unhappy with the decision made in relation to four FOI requests.
You requested for the FOI requests to be considered at an internal review.
Cafcass is required to notify you as to the final decision made regarding your internal review.
Having considered your request for an internal review it is envisaged that the review of all four of your requests will take longer than 4 weeks. Cafcass estimate it will require a further 2 weeks to consider your request.
You will receive a response on or before the 2nd March 2011.
Thanks you for patience on this matter.
Yours sincerely.
