Dear Sir, I was recently stopped from leafleting for the BNP on
Bold Street by the armed response unit, CCTV van and PCSO's, an
over reaction if ever I saw one!
Political organisations do not require local authority consent to
sell or distribute literature on the streets.
As the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and
Fundamental Freedoms, Article 10 states;
1/ Everyone has the right to freedom of expression. This right
shall include freedom to hold opinions and receive and impart
information and ideas without interference by public authority
regardless of frontiers.
Could you please tell me what by-law I was prevented from
leafleting under.
Thank you, Antony Ward, looserivet2103@tiscali.co.uk
