Dear Ms Thompson,

I refer to your request regarding business rates, which has been dealt
with under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

The specific information you requested was as follows:

"Please could you provide a list/spread sheet to detail the breakdown of
the business properties relating to Tesco Extra,
Carmarthen to include the car park, petrol station, offices, etc to
provide the following information:

1. Rateable value for each of these properties
2. Rates payable for 2006-2007 for each of these properties
3. Rates paid for 2006-2007 for each of these properties
4. Rates payable for 2007-2008 for each of these properties
5. Rates paid for 2007-2008 for each of these properties
6. Rates payable for 2008-2009 for each of these properties.
7. Rates paid for 2008-2009 for each of these properties
8. Rates payable for 2009-2010 for each of these properties
9. Rates paid for 2009-2010 for each of these properties
10.Rates payable for 2010-2011 for each of these properties.

Please could you also provide the same information for, specifically,
Debenhams, Carmarthen and also the entire development at St Catherine's
Walk Carmarthen, the relevant financial year will be 2009-2010 and will
then include the rates payable for 2010-2011.

Please indicate details of any concessions for business rates for all
the properties named above, granted by Carmarthenshire County Council."

In response, please find attached a list containing the requested
information.

Please note that a number of businesses located within St Catherine's
Walk do not appear on the list, as although the Valuation Office Agency
(VOA) has been advised of them, they have yet to be assessed by the VOA.
We do not hold any information relevant to your request in relation to
these properties therefore.

Furthermore, the St Catherine's Walk businesses mainly show no payments
- this is because they have only recently been assessed/billed.

I can also confirm that no special concessions have been granted for any
of these properties by the Council.
