Dear Aberdeenshire Council,
I would be grateful if you would let me have a copy of the above
minutes. In particular the minute of meeting, which resulted in a
letter being sent to the owners of the properties, around June 20th
2008. The next meeting I am interested in was held between the 4th
and 13th October2010. Finally the minutes of a meeting held on 19th
October, at Banff at 10.30.

Yours faithfully,
Alexander Buchan.

15 December 2011

Dear Aberdeenshire Council,
I find it difficult to comprehend why there were no meetings,
leading up to the letters issued around June 20th 2008 or 14th
October 2010.
If this is the case I find it disturbing that one person has the
power to make such momentous decisions as were made around these
dates.
Certainly both letters were signed, the one dated 14th
October,2010. was not the decision of the person who signed it.

The first meeting on the 19th October was attended several unnamed
council officers. WHY unnamed?
Why were the men from J.G.Fowlie in attendance at this meeting?

In the second meeting on the 19th it was stated that the priority
was to retain/save the building.
Why did it say on the notice of 14th October that the building be
demolished at the earliest opportunity.
Certainly does not appear to me or anybody else that the priority
was to save the building

Yours faithfully,

Alexander Buchan

Good afternoon,

I reply with reference to your recent correspondence regarding 22/24 Low
Street Banff.

The information that we forwarded to you in reply to your previous
correspondence was an exact copy of the note of meeting dated 19 October
2010.

There is no reason for why the note states ‘officers of the council’. This
is how the note of the meeting was written.

J.G. Fowlie were in attendance as they had knowledge of the internal
condition of the building.

The Notice issued on the 14th October was issued to ensure public safety.

The discussion at the meeting on the 19 October 2010, which you were in
attendance, clearly confirmed that the priority was to retain / save the
building and not simply demolish the building.

I trust the above provides clarity regarding the situation; however, should
this not be the case and you consider that this may require an internal
review I refer you to the paragraphs below.
