Dear Thurrock Borough Council,
In March 2011, a Statement of Facts was issued to Thurrock’s
website and to local media in respect of the ICG site at Stoneness
Road West Thurrock. This stated that a number of large buildings
(then thought to be nine) were all considered to be permitted
development. Point 11 of the aforementioned statement also stated
“. It is correct that buildings and the plant have not been subject
to building control, however, no serious breach of those
regulations was discovered during the recent inspection and as a
consequence no further action is deemed necessary or appropriate at
this time.”
I am now requesting from the Building Control Department, a copy of
contemporaneous notes and the official report held for each
separate building and confirmation that each separate building
meets all building regulation requirements and standards. As the
statement of facts stated no serious breach, please supply
information of any breaches, serious or minor.
Yours faithfully,
graham petherick
