Dear Suffolk Primary Care Trust,

Please tell me what your total budget amounts to for the financial
years 2008/2009 and 2009/2010.

Please tell me how much of your budget for each of those years has
been or will be spent on consultants' fees.

Please tell me how much money has been or will be spent on Common
Purpose training courses for each of these years and how many
Common Purpose training course graduates are currently employed by
Suffolk PCT.

Dear Suffolk Primary Care Trust,

Although I did get a personal email from the chief executive to my
email enquiries, no response has been recieved to my FOI request
'Budget, Consultancy and Common Purpose Fees' and the date by which
a response must be made by law is 29th March 2010.

I am writing to thank you for your request of 26 February 2010 regarding
information held by NHS Suffolk. Your request has been dealt with in
accordance with the Trust's Freedom of Information Act 2000 procedures. I
apologise for the delay in responding to your enquiry.

1. Please tell me what your total budget amounts to for the financial
years 2008/2009 and 2009/2010.

Response: The total budgets for 2008/09 and 2009/10 were £782,499,000
and £860,509,000 respectively.

2. Please tell me how much of your budget for each of those years has been
or will be spent on consultants' fees.

Response: The consultancy cost was £3,062,084 for 2008/09. The figure for
2009/10 (year-end 31 March) is £510,172. Note that these costs cover not
only management consultancy but also professional and legal fees covering
contract formulation and property issues such as planning permission
applications which we are legally obliged to undertake.

3. Please tell me how much money has been or will be spent on Common
Purpose training courses for each of these years and how many Common
Purpose training course graduates are currently employed by Suffolk PCT.

Response: No money has been expended on Common Purpose training courses.
We have no Common Purpose training course graduates employed.
