Bucycle Parking Facilities

Mark Blandford made this Freedom of Information request to Common Council of the City of London

The request was successful.

From: Mark Blandford

9 October 2011

Dear Common Council of the City of London,

Please provide details of all known (council provided and any known
privately owned [but available to the public]) bicycle parking
facilities within the City of London borough. Where possible
details should include:

+ Location of the facility (coordinates, address / postcode or road
name [corner of x and y road for example]).

+ Description of facility (number of spaces, indoor / outdoor, on
street etc.). The more information & statistics known, the better.

I am aware that there are some details on your web site but it is
out of date and if possible, I would like more detail regarding
each site.

Yours faithfully,

Mark Blandford

Dear Mr Blandford,

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 (FOIA) - INFORMATION REQUEST

The City of London (CoL) acknowledges receipt of your request for
information of 9 October 2011.

Public authorities are required to respond to requests within the
statutory timescale of 20 working days beginning from the first working
day after they receive a request. The Act does not always require public
authorities to disclose the information which they hold.

The FOIA applies to the CoL as a local authority, police authority and
port health authority. The CoL is the local and police authority for the
“Square Mile”, ie the historic City of London, and not for London as a
whole. Please see the following link to a map on the CoL's website, which
shows the area covered:

The CoL’s port health authority functions extend beyond the City boundary.
