With reference to your request asking for details of expenses for various
senior staff in British Transport Police and the cost of the HR Annual
conference for the last three years I have split the request into two,
dealing with the HR Conference costs separately from the staff expense
request.
First, please accept my apologies on behalf of British Transport Police
for not meeting the statutory time in respect of your request.
In respect of the HR Annual Cost British Transport Police can advise you
that the following information is held.
Total cost of HR Annual Conference (including fees paid to guest speakers)
for financial year 2007/8.
Overall cost of conference £20,738.65
Cost per employee £166.00
Total cost of HR Annual Conference (including fees paid to guest speakers)
for financial year 2008/9.
Overall cost of conference £24,268.71
Cost per employee £252.80
Total cost of HR Annual Conference (including fees paid to guest speakers)
for financial year 2009/10.
Overall cost of conference £11,224.00
Cost per employee £122.00
In respect of your request for data details of expenses claimed by senior
BTP staff I can advise you that BTP hold this information, but to supply
it would exceed the Appropriate Limit as laid down in the Freedom of
Information and Data Protection (appropriate limit and fees) regulations
2004. In this instance it is anticipated to research, collate and list
the data for the last three years would take considerably longer than the
18 hour limit.
In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act it is requirement that a
Public Authority must offer assistance to an applicant when making a
request. In this instance I would be grateful if you would contact me so
that I can assist you to make your request in such a way that you receive
information that can be supplied with the Appropriate Limit. You can
