Dear Brighton & Hove Council,

Please can you provide me with the expenditure by the Local
Authority on the Building Schools for the Future programme since it
began in 2004:

1. The total amount spent on architects' fees for BSF projects; the
value of relevant contracts signed with architecture and landscape
architecture firms; and the names of those firms.

2. The total amount spent on lawyers' fees for BSF projects; the
value of relevant contracts signed with legal firms; and the names
of those firms.

3. The total amount spent on consultants' fees for BSF projects;
the value of relevant contracts signed with consultancies; and the
names of those firms.

4. The total amount spent on planning and pre-procurement for BSF
projects

Please find set out below the information in response to the above
request:

"Brighton & Hove had not been taken on to the BSF programme at the time it
was cancelled and therefore the amount of work we had completed was only
in respect of preparing an Expression of Interest and Readiness to Deliver
document. This work was undertaken over a period of two years and
involved looking at each of our secondary schools to determine what work
was required at each school.

The total spent on these two elements of work over the two year period is
£279,727.16. "
