British Railways Board

Ben Harris made this Freedom of Information request to Department for Transport

The request was successful.

From: Ben Harris

Dear Department for Transport,

I appreciate that this may seem like a silly question, but does the
British Railways Board still exist? If not, how was it abolished?
If it does still exist, who are its current members?

I've managed to find out that section 241 of the Transport Act 2000
provided for the Secretary of State to abolish the Board by Order,
but I've not been able to find any such Order.

Thanks in advance.

That's BRB (Residuary) Limited, which is a Companies Act company set up to get those assets and liabilities of the British Railways Board that didn't go somewhere else. The Board is/was a separate, statutory corporation.
