British Rail Business Systems

Dear BRB (Residuary) Limited,

On 16th May 2011, I made a request to the Department for Transport
under the Freedom of Information Act as follows:

"I write with reference to British Rail Business Systems (BRBS)
(http://www.railwaybritain.co.uk/BR%20Bus...)

"Under the freedom of information act, could you please provide a
list of (and purpose of each) information systems previously
managed by BRBS that passed to Sema? Please specify whether the
ownership of this data passed to Sema or remained owned by a public
body (please specify which one).

"Please also provide all documentation held detailing a) the
functions, scope and purpose of BRBS before privatisation and b)
the assets transferred to Sema as part of this deal."

On 20th May 2011, Ms Waring of the Department for Transport wrote
to tell me that the British Railways Board (Residuary) holds this
information and to ask my permission to transfer the request to
you. I agreed and I understand she transferred the request to your
offices the same day, where I believe Mr Trewin is the officer
responsible.

Could I have an update please, as this request is now technically
overdue.
