received no contact. The law states that you should have responded
by the 22nd November.

I am writing to request an internal review of UK Statistics
Authority's handling of my FOI request 'British Overseas Students'.
By law you should have provided a response by the 22 November 2010.
It is now the 7th December and I have not received any contact from
you.

Thank you for your email requesting information about the number of
British students that left the country to study overseas in the academic
years 2008-2009 and 2009-2010. I am writing to confirm that the Office
for National Statistics has now completed its search for the information
which you requested and a copy of the information is enclosed.
ONS publish provisional International Passenger Survey estimates of
numbers of British Citizens emigrating and their main reason for migration
(including Formal Study).
These are available via the following page:

and by looking at Table 3 in file 'IPS estimates of long-term
international migration year ending March 2010'.
The latest available final data is for 2009 with additional provisional
data for year ending March 2010. The provisional estimates for the year
ending September 2010 will be published on 26 May 2011.
You have the right to have this response to your freedom of information
request reviewed internally by an internal review process and, if you
remain unhappy with the decision, by the Information Commissioner. If you
would like to have the decision reviewed please write to Frank Nolan,
