Please detail total expenditure by Bristol City Council on Common
Purpose courses for each of the following years: 1997, 1998, 1999,
2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 to date.
Please also supply a copy of the invoice for each Common Purpose
course paid for by Bristol City Council.
By "Common Purpose", I mean the training organisation of that name:

Dear Ms Carter,
Thank you for your request for information. I apologise for the delay in our response. However I can now enclose 3 spreadsheets detailing payments made to Common Purpose. We could find no record of payments made to this organisation before 2006.
I also enclose a PDF document with invoices held enclosed. Please note that officers names have been withheld as details of training that individual officers have undertaken constitutes "personal data" as defined by the Data Protection act 1998 and is therefore exempt form disclosure in accordance with section 40 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further queries.
This response should answer your request in full, however if you are not satisfied with this response or wish to lodge an appeal against any exemptions that may have been applied, you can do so by writing to the Data Protection Officer at Bristol City Council Legal Services, The Council House, College Green, Bristol, or [Bristol City Council request email].
