For the years 2008, 2009 and 2010 please could you provide a year
by year break down of all Charges there have been under the
following Acts:
1. Children and Young Persons Act 1933 sect 1
2. Infanticide Act 1938
3. Indecency with Children Act 1960
4. Sexual Offences Act 2003
5. Protection of Children Act 1978 Sect 1
6. Child Abduction Act 1984
7. Domestic Violence Crime and Victims Act 2004 sect 5
11. Mental capacity Act 2005 sect 44
Please could you also state whether the person charged was male or
female.

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO:55/11
I acknowledge receipt of your Freedom of Information request below,
received by Durham Constabulary on 28 January 2011.
For the years 2008, 2009 and 2010 please could you provide a year
by year break down of all Charges there have been under the

Your request will now be considered in accordance with the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. You will receive a response within the statutory
timescale of 20 working days as defined by the Act, subject to the
information not being exempt or containing reference to a third party. In
some circumstances Durham Constabulary may be unable to achieve this
deadline. If this is likely you will be informed and given a revised
timescale at the earliest opportunity.
There may be a fee payable for the retrieval, collation and provision of
the information you requested. If this is the case you will be informed
and the 20 day working timescale will be suspended until we receive
payment from you. If you choose not to make payment then your request
will remain unanswered.
Some requests may also require full or partial transference to another
public authority in order to answer your query in the fullest possible
way. Again, you will be informed if this is the case.
