FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000

EAST COAST RAILWAY CO LTD
DIRECTLY OPERATED RAILWAYS

I wish to request the following information under the terms of the
Freedom of Information Act 2000 'The Act'.

In order to assist you with this request, I am outlining my query
as specifically as possible. As you will understand, this may not
be a definitive list of relevant information.

It was recently reported, via numerous news and on-line sources
that the DfT had published a Briefing stating the new terms and
conditions and timescales of the takeover of the East Coast
franchise, it also contained other information which, so far, has
not made it into the public domain.

As this document is now partly in the public domain, it is of
public interest and as such should be disclosed in full.

1.0 I wish to receive a full and unedited/un-redacted copy of this
briefing document.
1.1 I wish to receive this document in .PDF format.

2.0 Furthermore I wish to receive any internal
memos/E-mails/documents which are related or connected to this
briefing.
2.1 I wish to receive these documents in .PDF format.

3.0 I wish to receive a copy of the list of directors of East Coast
Railway Co Ltd and Directly Operated Railways.
3.1 I wish to receive these documents in .PDF format.

I understand that under the act that you have a duty to assist
requesters and that I should be entitled to a response within 20
working days.

Please could you confirm that you have received this request.

Thank you for your recent correspondence of 4th Novemeber 2009.
Your response is now overdue and in accordance with the act you had
20 working days to reply.

I expect a full response urgently in accordance with the terms of
the Act.
Furthermore you are now no longer allowed to extend your deadline
as you must do this before the original 20 working day deadline
expired.

I am aware of my rights under S50 of the Act.

The briefing document was issued prior to the handover of the
eastcoast franchise from NX Trains ltd to DoR.
This document was obtained by various unions and parts were
published on their respective websites.
The document states such things as TUPE arrangements, uniform,
tendering, staffing.
