Opal Koboi made this Freedom of Information request to West London Mental Health NHS Trust

The request was successful.

From: Opal Koboi

24 January 2012

Dear West London Mental Health NHS Trust,

Please could you provide the average height of 40 male to female
transsexual patients. Please could you also provide the average
weight of the same 40 male to female transsexual patients. Any 40
patients would be sufficient and it may be most convenient to start
with recent patients because you may already have this information
to hand. The location, income, age, race, sexuality, health and
medical history of each patient is not relevant for this enquiry
and therefore no breakdown or fuzzing is required.

I believe this request for aggregate information would be suitably
anonymised to meet the requirements of the Freedom Of Information
Act 2000 and also the Gender Recognition Act 2003.

I believe the information provided would be sufficient to calculate
the average body mass index of male to female transsexuals to a
reasonable degree of accuracy. If you do not have the information
for 40 patients, please state the sample size so that the lesser
degree of accuracy can be determined.

Yours faithfully,

Opal Koboi
