"Black Box" computers in police vehicles.

Glen Davies made this Freedom of Information request to West Mercia Police

The request was successful.

From: Glen Davies

4 October 2011

Dear West Mercia Police,
At a recent interview with a police officer he said that all police
vehicles are now fitted with a "Black Box" recorder which records
all the movements of the vehicle and whether the vehicle's siren
and lights are on when the vehicle was attending an emergency, what
exact movements the vehicle made, speed etc. Can you please tell me
whether this is correct or not as the outcome could well affect a
case I am involved in?

Yours faithfully,

Glen Davies
