Barnacle Bill made this Freedom of Information request to Wrexham County Borough Council

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Wrexham County Borough Council should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Could you please indicate whether or not your organisation operates
a bi-lingual policy.

If it does could you please answer the following questions:-

1. What percent of staff are able to speak fluent Welsh.

2. What percentage of staff speak and write fluent welsh.

3. Do you have a unit specifically for translation.

4. How many staff work in your translation unit.

5. What is the approximate overall cost of having a bi-lingual
policy in place (this should take into account the cost of the
running the translation unit, extra stationary extra postage and
the time taken to get documents translated) Furthermore could this
please be broken down by year since the last Local Government
reorganisation)

Many thanks

Yours faithfully,

Barnacle Bill
