Bexleyheath: Stop & Search Figures
Robert Mitchell made this Freedom of Information request to Metropolitan Police Service (MPS)
Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.
From: Robert Mitchell
16 June 2009
Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like to request some information from Bexleyheath Police
Station.
As I understand it, all police officers carry notebooks, with which
they must keep a log of everything they do whilst on duty.
Presumably, this information is then logged collectively elsewhere.
I would like to know how many times the "Stop & Search" procedure
was used in Bexleyheath between the dates of May 26th 2008 and July
26th 2008 and how many times the same procedure has been carried
out between the dates of March 26th 2009 and May 26th 2009.
One figure for each time period will be perfect, though any further
details you could provide would be appreciated.
Yours faithfully,
Robert Mitchell
Metropolitan Police Service (MPS)
