BERR Endorsement in Phorm Annual Report
Neil Maybin made this Freedom of Information request to Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform
The request was successful.
From: Neil Maybin
18 June 2009
Dear Sir or Madam,
In the Chairman and CEO's statement on page 8 of their 2008 Annual
Report issued today Phorm says
"Specifically, the Department for Business Innovation and Skills
(formerly BERR) has confirmed that Phorm's system is capable of
being operated in a lawful, appropriate and transparent fashion."
(The 2008 Annual Report is available at
http://www.phorm.com/reports/2008_Financ... - note
this is a scanned document so 'find' won't work for text).
1. Has the Department for Business Innovation and Skills or BERR
ever given such an assurance?
2. What statements have the Department for Business Innovation and
Skills or BERR made to Phorm or its predecessor 121media about the
lawfulness of its technology?
Yours faithfully,
Neil Maybin
