Basis for £1.4 billion cost of Gurkha settlement rights

I am however curious as to why it is taking so long. On the day
that I requested the details the £1.4 billion figure was being
quoted repeatedly by various ministers including the Prime
Minister. Presumably the basis was available then?

In any case, as I said I do appreciate your update and would be
grateful for a timescale for completion.

Dear Sir or Madam, Please pass this on to the person who conducts
Freedom of Information reviews. I am writing to request an internal
review of Home Office's handling of my FOI request 'Basis for
GBP1.4 billion cost of Gurkha settlement rights'. While I was
advised that the response would be late it is now nearly three
weeks overdue. As stated in my previous message, the claim was
being made by various people including the Prime Minister on the
far that I made the request. Presumably the details where available

working days since I requested an internal review and I have had no
response. Please reply with either the results of the review or
preferably the information that I requested immediately.

Thank you for your reply.

As I'm sure you are aware, "the Commissioner considers that a
reasonable time for completing an internal review is 20 working
days". While some cases may take longer "In those circumstances,
the public authority should, as a matter of good practice, notify
the requester and explain why more time is needed".

The request for information was made back on 29 April and the
Internal review was requested on 16 June.

Please can I finally have the information I requested?

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately I still have not
received the information. It is now well over two months since The
information should have been provided. Please can you arrange for
the information to be sent immediately or if this is still not
possible please at least give me an actual timescale for receipt
and ensure that it is stuck to.
