Dear Partnerships for Schools Limited,

Pleasse see below my FOI request to the DfE whose response is to
refer me to you for the information. Please could you supply this
information to me?

Dear Ms Jones,
Thank you for your request for information dated 24 June. You
requested the following:

Please could you provide information as to which local authorities
in England are currently projected to be unable meet Basic Need
provision for pupil places for the years 2011-12 and 2012-13.
Please supply this information as results by LA and separated for
primary and secondary school places.

I have dealt with your request under the Freedom of Information Act
2000
(`the Act').

I can confirm that the information you requested is not held by
this Department. Partnerships for Schools (PfS) is responsible for
collecting information on school places and they may hold some of
the information you require. However, PfS only collects information
on current school capacity
and does not, at present, collect information on future capacity.

If you are unhappy with the way your request has been handled, you
should make a complaint to the Department by writing to me within

in the original consideration of your request.

If you are not content with the outcome your complaint to the
Department, you may apply directly to the Information Commissioner
for a decision. Generally, however, the ICO cannot make a decision
unless you have already exhausted the Department's complaints
procedure.
