Dear Mr Silverman
Thank you for your email of 1 November received by Transport for London
(TfL) on the same day asking for information about barrister’s costs.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of
the Freedom of Information Act and TfL’s information access policy. You
asked for:
· Copies of the invoices for the costs of the barrister used in
this case (Silverman vs London Underground).
I can confirm that invoices have not been issued and TfL does not
therefore hold the information that you have requested..
However, we can confirm that TfL’s costs include counsel’s fees which were
agreed at £200 + VAT for each hearing. As there were two in total, the
full amount was £400 + VAT i.e. £480 in total.

information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for
some reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
